The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Oshodi/Isolo Chapter organized a Children’s Day Carnival, on the 27th of May 2013 at the Metropolitan College, Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo, Lagos State. The theme for the event was: “Love, Protect and Listen to our Children”. It was a gathering of over 50 private schools.
Mfon Edet Educational Foundation in partnership with the Lagos Waste Management Authority’s Recycling Team were present to grace the event with an exhibition, showcasing some recycled products and also customized gifts items for the children. The event also created an opportunity to further enlighten the children on the need to think Reducing, Reusing and Recycling Waste. The Proprietors were advised to include eco-friendly activities in the school curriculum and the children were educated on the benefits of recycling and the need for them to also Love, Protect and help save their environment from global warming.
