Brief History Of The Organisation
Mfon Edet Educational Foundation(also known as MEEF) is a non-governmental organisation, founded and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Federal Republic of Nigeria, 17th October 2014 with registration number CAC/IT/NO 72869.
MEEF believes in the value and dignity of human life as well as conservation of the environment for sustainable development; hence we are dedicated to enhancing it through Climate Change Education, Effective Solid Waste Management, Economic Empowerment, Sustainable Health Care Delivery, Educational Support, Environment and Social Justice to people in resource constrained and vulnerable communities.
Executive Summary
MEEF is a non-profit organization incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. We are dedicated to educating citizens on the importance of environmental protection and empowering them with sustainable knowledge on how to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste in their communities and also create wealth from waste in the process.
Our team is composed of various professionals who are specialists in their respective fields. At the core are two environmental specialists and a seasoned information technology expert with a combined field experience of over 20 years.
We have partnerships with various major corporations, religious bodies, personalities and non-profit organisations. Among these are:- Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), SHOPRITE Nigeria, May & Baker Nig Plc (Mimee), MTN Nig Plc, Chestest Consult amongst others.

Mission
To educate and empower the citizens as well as make a difference in the environmental safety of the future of their communities..
Vision.
To reawaken the need for citizens to be involved in environment protection, helping them choose a better history for themselves. To empower citizens economically through waste management and also help build environmental friendly communities in the state, where vulnerable and disadvantaged women, youths and men will live healthy, safe and sustainable lives and children survival is a right.
Our Objectives
1. To create awareness and re-orientate citizens on the effects of environmental pollution and the need for us to protect our environment against effects emancipating from crude oil and gas pipelines vandalism.
2. To reduce the indiscriminate disposal of solid waste in the state through the education of citizens on the need to sanitize and protect their environments with a view to create jobs and wealth through modern waste management and recycling methods.
3. To seek ways to divert non-bio-degradable waste such as polythene, tires, plastics and metals from landfills to recycling plants and promote zero waste policy.
4. To promote a better understanding of the need for environmental protection and encourage investors to set up waste recycling plants and factories in the state.
